We owe our independence and freedom to the Peasant Militias, since more than 200 years ago they were the ones that were constituted as an army to confront the Spanish empire, said the general commander of the Bolivarian Militia, M/G Orlando Romero Bolíva r.

In this regard, during the swearing in of the Peasant Brigades in Carayaca, La Guaira state, the senior military official assured that in the face of the recent threats of imperialism against our country, the People are once again organizing and preparing to face any aggression.

“The Homeland is filled with joy to see the rebirth, among its people, of the peasant militias that are the same ones that, in the emancipatory feat of our independence, put the largest empire that existed at that time to bite the dust off the largest empire that existed at that time,” he said.
