Commission of engineers studies homes affected by earthquakes in Yaracuy

A specialized team of engineers belonging to the commission for infrastructure evaluation was in Yaracuy state to advance housing inspection in the municipality of Veroes, the area most affected in this region by the earthquake of 24 June in the country.
The team was led by the president of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of Infrastructure Habitability, Francisco Garcés, accompanied by the governor of the entity, Leonardo Intoci, who led a community assembly to meet the needs of the most affected families.
After technical inspections, progress was made in the classification of damage to homes in the sector, using the traffic light methodology: the green color that indicates habitability, the yellow that indicates medium risk with restricted use and the red that indicates an alert not to occupy the house.
In Yaracuy, three thousand 70 homes were inspected, giving the result of 1,925 for homes in the green category, 761 in yellow and 242 in red.
Garcés, highlighted the organizational capacity of the Yaracuyan people and said that the articulated response of the local government, the community and institutions has made it possible to counteract post-seismic damage in record time.
