Community Agrifood Plan promotes agricultural production in Monagas

Through the Community Agrifood Plan, the harvest of five thousand hectares of corn began in the state of Monagas, where they also plan to plant three thousand hectares of caraotas and beans during the North Summer cycle. Through an assembly held in the town of Santa Bárbara de Tapirín, the Ministry of Popular Power for the Communes (MPPC) reported the progress achieved in this first year of working with the peasant communes.

In this regard, the Minister for the Communes, Ángel Prado, specified that they strongly resumed the Municipal Agrifood Plan 2026 through an effective method for food production, in order to promote technical training plans, optimize resources to access quality inputs and boost seed production.

In the same way, he explained that the peasant communes put into operation agricultural machinery parked in the field, which makes it possible to diversify areas, reactivate agro-industrial infrastructure, distribute food and create conditions for export.
