19 days after the contingency generated by the seismic events that affected the submarine cable of the company Cirion Technologies off the coast of La Guaira, the National Telecommunications Commission (CONATEL) informs the nation that thanks to the technical and operational coordination between the Venezuelan State and the private sector, the specialized vessel responsible for re-establishing the international link is already en route to our territorial waters, marking a decisive step for the normalization of Internet service in the country.
The complexity of this contingency has required an unprecedented inter-institutional logistical effort. A maritime operation of this nature usually requires more than 45 days to obtain the corresponding permits, details a press release.
However, the coordinated action between CONATEL, the various ministries and competent authorities made it possible to implement an exceptional plan of regulatory speed, achieving all the authorizations in just 14 days.
This timely institutional support was essential for Cirion Technologies, supported by its contingency protocols and its investment in international maintenance networks, to be able to mobilize the vessel in record time, demonstrating the effectiveness of working together.
