CORPOELEC reactivated the Termobarrancas Plant in Barinas to add megawatts to the SEN

The National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), reactivated the Thermobarrancas Plant in the state of Barinas to add megawatts to the National Electric System (SEN) after carrying out maintenance work on the infrastructure.
El start of the generating unit was supervised by the Sectorial Vice President of Public Works and Services, Juan Ramírez Luces; the governor of the entity, Adán Chávez and the staff of CORPOELEC.
The maneuvers included the cleaning of 960 intake filters, the repair and adaptation of the chimney, the boroscopic inspection of valves, and vibrational tests on engines.
For his part, the Minister of the People's Power of Public Works, Juan Ramírez, said that “we were with the Governor of Barinas @a dancoromoto supervising Termobarrancas”.
“Then we met with the regional team to discuss the Comprehensive Maintenance Plan for the State's Hydraulic and Electrical Generation and Infrastructure System and its contribution to the National Electricity System,” he said.
