CORPOELEC recovered and protected 24 transformers in Catia La Mar

In the last 48 hours, the crews of the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC) managed to secure 24 power transformers located in Catia La Mar, in La Guaira.

In this regard, the Minister of Electric Energy, Rolando Alcalá, supervised the work carried out by the engineering and technical teams and stressed that they are carried out “under strict safety measures, due to the risky conditions presented by some of the buildings evaluated in the area”.

“With this uninterrupted deployment, components and equipment are safeguarded, safeguarding the strategic technical infrastructure of the service,” he said.

According to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Última Noticias, this action seeks to guarantee the preservation of equipment after the seismic double.
