The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, ratified this Monday the path of diplomatic dialogue to settle differences with the government of the United States (USA), after offering an assessment of the first National Popular Consultation 2026, held this Sunday, March 8, International Women's Day.

“About 80% of the spokeswomen of the communes are you (women), I congratulate you (...) I am proud to be a Venezuelan woman, and to have the honor of today, well, to raise the flag, raise our tricolor on behalf of all Venezuelans and all Venezuelan women,” said the president in charge of the El Araañero Commune of Sabaneta, in Fuerte Tiuna, Caracas.

He pointed out that the country is experiencing difficult times after the military aggression of January 3, “but we are the people of Bolivar, we are the people of difficulties and we are winning peace, every day, as we have said, in diplomatic relations with the government of the United States, to settle the difference, and to move forward coincidentally.”

In this regard, he highlighted that Caracas and Washington are advancing a work agenda in the energy and mining areas, and in the fight against drug trafficking. “Venezuela is not a drug trafficking country, not even relevant in terms of drug trafficking, but we do participate and cooperate with other countries in the world and in our region to combat drug trafficking,” he emphasized.

Rodríguez indicated that the Bolivarian Government works to protect young people from falling into drugs, “and we also want that message for all families in the world, for all families in our region. So in that work agenda we are going with patience, with determination, we want to build long-term relationships, but they must be based on the truth of Venezuela (...) let it be known that we are not a country of drug traffickers, that President Nicolás Maduro and the first female fighter (Cilia Flores) are innocent,” he stressed.
