Deputy Arreaza: Dialogue addresses recovery of Venezuelan assets abroad

The deputy to the National Assembly (AN) Jorge Arreaza reported that the recovery of Venezuelan assets abroad is one of the issues that continues to be developed at the national dialogue table between the Government and the opposition, with the purpose of allocating these resources to the care of families affected by the double earthquake and to the electrical system.

“There is political will on the part of both delegations at the dialogue table where it is expressly requested that these resources return to their origin and to their legitimate owners in Venezuela to be invested in housing, in the care of families who lost their homes in the double earthquake and also to strengthen the Venezuelan electrical system,” he said during the radio program Entre Comunes, broadcast on Radio Negro Primero 101.1 FM.

The parliamentarian highlighted the progress of the first round of the dialogue, including the agreements aimed at addressing the consequences of the double earthquake and the transformation of the justice system. He noted that one of the commitments has already begun to materialize with the reform of article 65 of the Organic Law of the Supreme Court of Justice.

Arreaza indicated that this reform is part of a series of actions agreed between both delegations to improve the country's institutionality. The second round of talks took place this week, as confirmed by the president of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.
