Deputy Minister of Waste Management led a working group to define CDT activation protocols

The Deputy Minister of Waste Management, Mailing Perdomo, led a working group together with the Directorate for Monitoring and Control of Environmental Impacts of the Ministry for Popular Power for Ecosocialism (MINEC), the Mayor's Office of the Vargas Municipality and the Government of La Guaira, to define the protocols for the activation of Temporary Disposal Centers (CDT).

During the meeting, the following were addressed: Selection criteria for the development of the productive fabric, deployment of special CDTs focused on the collection of materials such as steel and rubbers, and activation of transfer points in the built-up line and centers of mass impacted by the earthquake of June 24.

In addition, the route for the active incorporation of Popular Power and local authorities was defined. “We continue to articulate efforts at all levels of government to consolidate an efficient waste management system,” he said
