Diosdado Cabello highlighted the participation of President Delcy Rodríguez in the UN

The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the importance of the participation of President Delcy Rodríguez at the headquarters of the United Nations (UN) in New York, during the 81st session of the General Assembly.

During the usual press conference of the National Directorate of the political organization, Cabello referred to the reactions generated by the assistance of the Venezuelan Head of State to the multilateral forum: “The presence of the president in the General Assembly... there are people here who are hurting because they invited the president, and who are they going to invite? To President Delcy Rodríguez, who else are they going to invite?”

In addition, the leader of the ruling party emphasized that the president's intervention constitutes a milestone in the nation's foreign policy. “The truth is that the Venezuelan spokeswoman will be speaking, the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela will be present at the United Nations General Assembly. There may be several interpretations, but the first is the triumph of our country's Peace Diplomacy; a great victory that, despite everything and the wishes of some people, we will be present there,” he said.

Regarding the president's international agenda, Cabello reported that more than 50 bilateral meetings are scheduled with Heads of State and Government of other countries interested in holding meetings with the Venezuelan delegation. As a sign of this dynamism on the international stage, the PSUV spokesman recalled the recent visit of the President of Paraguay to discuss the re-establishment of bilateral relations, as well as contacts aimed in the same direction with the United Kingdom.
