During the Great Youth March in
Caracas, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela
(PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, reaffirmed the love that young revolutionaries feel for this country.
“To defend the Homeland you have to love it, if
you don't love the Homeland you will never defend it, and those who are here who marched
today if they have anything is that they love this Homeland, it is that they love freedom,” he said,
stressing that this is the real Venezuela that has been defeating
imperialism and its lackeys for 26 years and that the world wants to deny.
He emphasized that the Venezuela that loves this country “is the one that fights, the one that works, the one that does not give up, the one that is capable of
receiving a coup and assimilating it, but continues to advance along the path of the
Revolution, along the path of Chávez and the path of Bolivar.”
He reaffirmed to the youth that it will be their turn to continue fighting for this Homeland; at the same time he urged young people to assume as their own the oath of the Father of the Fatherland, Simon Bolivar, taken by Commander Chávez when the MBR 200 was founded.
In addition, he highlighted the indignation that these young people feel today after the military aggression of the United States against our Homeland, in which President Nicolás Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores were kidnapped.
“Young people want President Nicolás Maduro and Cilia back, they are innocent of anything they are accused of. For these reasons, these young people marched for peace, reconciliation and tranquility in the country, but these young people are very clear that what cannot be forgotten,” he said.
He also referred to the Amnesty Act, pointing out that there are sectors of the extreme right that insist on demanding that it be applied to murderers, corrupt people and drug traffickers.
“How strange that now no one did anything to Orlando Figuera or is it that maybe Orlando Figuera didn't put candle alive. Are they innocent people who did it? Where are those who put guayas to kill motorized youths? They are innocent people who did it without realizing it, now they want with their faces well washed, asking for amnesty,” he said, recalling that the application of the Law has principles.
