The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recognized all State agencies and those who have joined in some way in caring for the affected population after the earthquakes of last June 24.
“The first thing is
to give the recognition that must always be given to the colleagues of our Bolivarian National
Armed Forces, the Bolivarian National Police,
the Civil Protection, the firefighters, the volunteers, the volunteers
who joined the difficult task of the first moments; but
we must also recognize those people who also joined the
sending of machinery to La Guaira (...) they went there to work, to do their
best to lighten the burden that the impact of
these earthquakes has had on the brothers and sisters
basically from La Guaira and Caracas, from Miranda,” Cabello said at the PSUV press conference.
He also highlighted
the work that has also been done by the organization of the PSUV in the transitional camps.
“Without making noise, as we know how to do it, because
we do it in a detached way, we do it in solidarity, in a way of
accompaniment, the leadership of our party has been in each of those
camps, listening to people, attending, helping in whatever we can help,” he said.
He pointed out that in
the camps there is a whole structure organized in different areas
such as health, food, security, cleaning with headquarters. At the same time, he stressed
that within these spaces the town itself is organized.
He also valued the
work of the structures of the PSUV, which despite suffering family
or housing damage, “are there in front, with all the pain”.
“To the
families, to the victims, our eternal words of condolence, of
accompaniment,” he said, reaffirming the supportive hand of the Revolution
always for the Venezuelan people.
