The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said that the dialogue table between the Bolivarian Government and opposition sectors ended its first meeting with the expected results.
During the usual press conference of the National Directorate of the PSUV, Cabello Rondón stressed that two fundamental issues were addressed during the dialogue table: The care of those affected by earthquakes and the recovery of the gold of Venezuelans that is being held abroad.
“Several working tables were held and then the proposals were presented,” said Cabello Rondón.
He also said that some opposition figures who were left out are screaming because they supposedly don't take them into account or want to implode that dialogue table.
In that regard, he recalled that if anyone has historically called for dialogue, it has been the National Government. “Anyone who has doubts should close their eyes and remember Commander Hugo Chávez that April 13, when he brought out a Christ and said let's talk, with the same people who staged a coup d'etat,” he said.
“The early morning of April 14, Commander Chávez gave instructions to me and I met with the people of PDVSA,” he emphasized.
