The Secretary General of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, recalled that, since the arrival of the Bolivarian Revolution, the National Government has made countless calls for dialogue.
In his Con El Mazo Dando program, he emphasized that every time the possibility of dialogue and conversation is brought to the table, the first to say present is the National Government. “Even on the day of the April 11 coup, Commander Hugo Chávez took out his saint and called out the devil,” he recalled.
“We can talk to anyone in terms of respect, but those who really don't like dialogue are the ones who are now attacking the existing dialogue initiative with terrible anger,” he said and stressed that contrary to the attitude of attacks between opposition groups, the Government and the party are united in support of this new initiative.
“We have a group of comrades led by Jorge Rodríguez who have all our support, the support of the party, the Government and the people and who every time there is an opportunity they say present,” he said and advocated that the various factions of the Venezuelan right not destroy this new attempt at dialogue for the country.
“Hopefully these people aren't going to break them and there are rifts between them. We will continue to move forward as appropriate,” he said.
