The general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, highlighted the work carried out by security and emergency care agencies during the catastrophe caused by the two powerful earthquakes that shook several states of the country, hitting La Guaira with greater force.

“From the beginning we made the decisions and not only did we make the decisions together with the President (Delcy Rodríguez), but there hasn't been a single day that we haven't been on the street next to the town, reviewing things, correcting details, because of course there are details, and now we are involved in the camps, checking that nothing is missing and that everyone is registered, and that housing is being searched,” he said.

This statement was made after he denounced the fake news campaign that was woven around the matrix of “government neglect” following the earthquake of last June 24.

In this regard, he reviewed the rapid action of the Venezuelan authorities, despite the state of shock and fear generated by these strong earthquakes, which also affected the infrastructure of security and emergency care facilities in the state of La Guaira, which included the death of officials.

“The commander of the La Guaira Fire Department was trapped under rubble and was taken out the next day, and the police chief there died as a result of the collapse of the place, just to give two examples of the magnitude of what happened there,” he said.

They wanted to set fire to the country!

The also sectoral vice-president of Politics, Citizen Security and Peace remarked that the media campaign orchestrated under the premise of the “failed State” and “governmental abandonment” sought to cause a climate of frustration and annoyance within the population that would lead to a social revolt.

“The worst of the fauna of global longline racing came to Venezuela, the worst, with a single agenda: to dig up the wounds, to add salt to the wounds of the Venezuelan people,” he denounced and pointed out that the laboratories of the fake news campaign were run from outside.

“These wretches didn't just come to do harm and stories and stories were created. There is coordination, payments to attack a people as they have done... they thought they were going to achieve an uprising... they left with their tails between their legs,” he accused while stressing the people's conscience to face the catastrophe in a stoic and supportive way.

“This town has shown enormous expressions of conscience,” he exalted.

Pueblo and FANB united!

He argued that one of the objectives of this media war in the midst of the seismic disaster aimed directly at undermining the main asset of Chavism, which lies in civic-military union.

“It was a coordinated campaign of the 'failed State', of a 'useless and complicit Armed Force', of an 'abandoned citizenship', vocabulary repeated by all the spokespersons who wanted to erode the main asset of Chavism, which is the union of the People with the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), and justify the demand for regime change, but reality prevailed,” he said.

In this regard, he stressed that, on the instruction of the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, the deployment of Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) personnel began from the outset, who joined the rescue efforts together with the emergency care forces and the people.

Danny Ocean miserable!

As an example of this immediate action and the presence of FANB personnel in the affected areas, it brought up the interruption of rescue efforts that occurred as a result of the false rumor of a tsunami alert that included Danny Ocean, a singer recognized for his close ties with figures of opposition extremism.

“Do you know what they did on the 25th at night? they created the tsunami matrix, the same people who said that the Government had not arrived at the site in time ran the tsunami matrix, and when that happened, the people were terrified again. Some rescuers left, the recovery of people was affected thanks to the evil of these miserables”, he condemned.

“I was down there at the Command Post installed by Macuto (La Guaira) with General (Juan) Sulbarán and we had to go out and deny this,” he recalled and reproached the disclosure of this false tsunami alert.

Danny Ocean, for example; who is he hanging out with? Who do you sing to? Whose friend is he? Malvivor! Miserable! After an earthquake, you come to give that news because you were born from your smoke. How much is news like that worth to cause terror?” , he whipped.

This Town is going to move forward!

He reaffirmed that, despite the campaign against the country and the Government unleashed by palangrism at the service of opposition extremism, the Venezuelan people will rise up and overcome this catastrophe with unity, solidarity and love.

“This country is not going to break up, this people are going to get ahead, Venezuela has a direction. We have suffered blows, stumbles, but we always stand up, shake off the dust, give each other a hug, we look into each other's eyes, we wipe our tears away from each other and we keep going, because wherever you go, you swallow a thousand tears, of pain and sadness, you swallow them forever to give an expression of optimism to the one who is in pain and this will not be the task of a day, it will be a task of months and care but of years”, he emphasized and invited those who promote attacks against the country to let go of their hatred and accompany Village.

“Let go of your hate a little bit. Go to a camp one day to help the children, to paint their faces, go, sit with them, listen to them, listen to grandparents, to families, but I don't know if you can really do it,” he said.

They're not going to paralyze us!

He reiterated that the leadership of the Bolivarian Government will continue to serve all those affected and will not cease its daily work to promote the political, economic and social agenda for peace and development in Venezuela.

“We cannot fall into the trap that they want to set up of paralyzing us based on fake news, on lies, no, we are not going to do that, we are going to keep working,” he said.
