On April 26, 2014, the murderous bullet of the right mourned the hearts of the revolutionary people, who saw how in a vile way they lost the rebel and loyal soldier of the Fatherland, Eliézer Otaiza, who never gave up and was a faithful defender of Supreme Commander Hugo Chávez and the Bolivarian Revolution.

Born in Valencia, Carabobo state, on January 7, 1965, this courageous revolutionary stood out for his patriotic spirit that led him to join the Venezuelan Military Academy, from where he graduated with a degree in Military Sciences and Arts.

His rebellion and heartfelt love for the people led him to join the Bolivarian Revolutionary Movement 200 (MBR-200), where he became part of the patriotic government, which took up arms on November 27, 1992 against the corrupt, murderous and repressive Adeco-Copeyan system that governed the country.

Otaiza is a soldier who, with his blood, watered the streets of Caracas on November 27 (...) entering the Palace (in Miraflores). Otaiza was shot four times in the chest. But he's an athlete, a very young man, with great vitality. They left him for dead. He confesses that he felt like he was dying. The doctors at the Military Hospital say he arrived clinically dead. But they saw some sign, you know, of possible life, and they put him in the operating room, and there's Otaiza, boy.”

With this story, Commander Chávez recalled the boldness and dedication of this soldier of the Fatherland, who today, 11 years after his vile assassination, is an example of the loyalty and courage of a people that rise up rebelliously to say “No” to imperialism and its lackeys on the right.
