Venezuelan Eugenio Suárez shot his 24th home run this season in the big leagues and is one step away from breaking his current tie with his compatriot Andrés “El Gran Gato” Galarraga.
If he hits 25 hits, Suárez will take second place all time alone among Venezuelan batters with at least 8 seasons reaching 25 or more home runs in the Big Tent, a review in Full Swing.
Suárez was left behind the historic Miguel Cabrera, who had 12 seasons with more than 25 home runs in the MLB.
