Thanks to extensive intelligence work carried out jointly by officials attached to the National Anti-Drug Command (CNA), Strategic Operation Group (GOES), and the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), the recent seizure of 3,347 kilos 800 grams of cocaine in the state of Monagas was possible.

The drugs, according to a press release from the Ministry of Interior, Justice and Peace, were deposited in the “San Joaquín” farm, located in a rural area of the Temblador parish, Libertador municipality of the said entity and were found during a joint search, investigation and scrutiny operation.

It is important to note that when the building was approached, there was an exchange of gunfire with the criminals, who fled to mountainous areas, managing to keep three vehicles in place and the apprehension of a citizen.

In this regard, the Security Forces carried out saturation devices in the area in order to find out the whereabouts of those responsible.

Regarding this case, the head of the interior portfolio, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, said in his Con El Mazo Dando program, that the Revolutionary Government will not tolerate international drug trafficking operating in our country.

He added that “the friends of María Corina (Machado), those with the magic dust, are not going to stop by here. Wherever they go, we're going to find them and we're going to give them. Rest assured that it will be so.” he said.
