FANB dismantled and destroyed mining equipment in Amazonas

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) detected, during patrol work in the Atabapo municipality of the state of Amazonas, a camp and materials used for illegal mining, reported the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through a message posted through his Instagram account, the senior military officer explained that on the site he found 200 liters of gasoline; 8 13 HP water suction motors; 5 mining snails; 2 carpets used as a sieve; 10 4” PVC tubes; 150 meters of 4” high pressure hose; eight meters of 4” maraca hose and a metal grid.

“Venezuela is a Land of Peace, Law, and Justice that fights daily against environmental depredation and illegal mining for a healthy environment,” Hernández Lárez wrote.
