FANB dismantled communications center for groups linked to drug trafficking in Zulia

The FANB does not rest in its fight against Colombian groups that intend to use our territory to commit misdeeds

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) dismantled facilities in the Los Jovitos sector, Miranda municipality of Zulia state, used by groups dedicated to drug trafficking as a communications and logistics center.

This was reported by the Strategic Operational Commander (CEO) of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, through a video posted on his Instagram account in which he detailed that in these facilities the uniformed personnel seized 11 radio transmitters, a power source, two diplexers, a directional antenna for repeaters, a communication antenna, 100 meters of transmitting antenna, 80 meters of guaya, a motorcycle-type vehicle, 5 outboard engines.

In addition, diving equipment, 10 plastic containers containing oil, 20 boxes of motor oil, two power plants, six rubbers, an industrial drill, a lathe machine, two structures for lighting and launching fireworks, and a compass were found.

In the aforementioned video, the senior military official emphasized that national territory “can never be ceded, transferred, leased in any way imagined, even temporarily or partially to foreign States or other subjects of international law.”
