FANB dismantled mining camp in the Guri reservoir

Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), while patrolling and searching the Guri reservoir, in the El Jabillal sector, in the Bolivar state, detected and destroyed an illegal mining camp.

This was reported by the Strategic Operational Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, through his Instagram account, where he explained that 5 sieves; 2 mills; 2 motor pumps; 3 power plants; 250) meters of high-pressure hose; 500 liters of Diesel-type fuel and a motorcycle were found in the aforementioned space.

“The Bolivarian National Armed Forces, as an environmental criminal investigation body, carries out security and environmental protection missions in national parks, national monuments, forest reserves, biosphere reserves, hydraulic reserves and all Venezuelan hydrographic basins,” said the senior military official.
