Members of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB) intercepted and disabled, in Apure state, an aircraft that illegally entered our airspace, said the Operational Strategic Commander (CEO) of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.
Through a message posted on his Instagram account, the senior military officer explained that the aircraft was moving at a low altitude, without issuing an identification code, with the transponder turned off and, in addition, it did not respond to calls from the authorities, so it was declared a “target of interest”.
After the above-mentioned declaration, the FANB air assets acted to neutralize this white twin-engine aircraft, without license plates, allegedly used for cross-border drug trafficking, arms trafficking, and other crimes.
“With this inoperability, a total of 418 aircraft have been registered since the enactment of the control law for the comprehensive defense of airspace and 27 during 2025,” said Hernández Lárez.
