FILVEN will arrive this Thursday in Yaracuy and Bolívar with a varied cultural program

Under the motto “Reading humanizes”, the 21st Venezuelan
International Book Fair (FILVEN) will be held from Thursday, March 19
to Saturday, March 21 in the state of Bolívar and Yaracuy, with a wide and varied cultural program.
In the state of Bolívar, the fair will be held
at the Jesús Soto Museum of Modern Art, in Ciudad Bolívar, where more than 20 publishing houses
participate. In addition, during the day, the public will be able to enjoy
more than 100 activities, including book presentations, forums, workshops,
talks, poetry recitals and exhibitions.
In this edition, the regional honoree in
Bolívar is the journalist and storyteller David Medina, recognized for his
literary career and his contribution to the cultural life of the region.
For its part, in the state of Yaracuy, the FILVEN will
be held at the Carmelo Fernández Museum, in San Felipe, with a
program that also includes book presentations, talks,
conferences, workshops and various cultural expressions.
In Yaracuy, the regional honorees are
the poet and cultural promoter Rosa Neris Barboza, and Rafael Zárraga (1929-2006), writer, playwright and journalist.
In addition, the public can access
new publishers from houses such as The Dog and the Frog, Monte Ávila Editores
Latinoamericana and the Ayacucho Library.
The fair also includes spaces
aimed at girls, boys and young people, with activities that promote the habit of
reading and strengthen the link between communities and cultural work.
