On July 28, 2020, the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Diosdado Cabello Rondón, woke up after undergoing delicate medical treatment against COVID-19.

“That I was intubated for 11 days, and I woke up on July 28th, damn it! , for me that's too much, too strong. I don't know, too strong for me,” Cabello recalled during Con El Mazo Dando Program Number 396.

He explained that there were attempts, on the part of the doctors, to wake him up on July 26, “they couldn't, I almost died that day, according to bad tongues.”

“I woke up on the 28th, listening to Chávez in Argentina, teaching the gringos a lesson with Bush and Mrs. Condoleezza (...) and Chávez giving him a fight and they were uncomfortable,” he recalled.

In September 2020, during the interview on the “Here with Ernesto” Program, conducted by the journalist and Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, Cabello said that during his illness he felt the love of the Venezuelan people.

“I felt the strength of the People, from their prayers, one of everything is learning, I learned there that this faith is necessary. That faith of saying I'm going to heal, I'm going to get ahead. The President sent me a José Gregorio Hernández and I put it next to it and took a picture of it. I have a guardian here. The truth before this was, I am and still am very ignorant, but I understood that this is the faith of the people, which allows you to move forward in the face of any problem, because there is a higher thing in which human beings trust,” he added.

Five years after this miracle, Cabello continues to stand with the people, raising the flags of the anti-imperialist struggle and the legacy of Commander Chávez.
