Francisco Ameliach became president of CORPOZULIA

The National Assembly (AN) approved this Tuesday, August 12, by qualified majority, the temporary separation of the deputy Francisco Ameliach, representative of the state of Carabobo for the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), to assume office as president of the Corporation for the Development of the Zulian Region (CORPOZULIA), the president of the National Parliament, Jorge Rodríguez, reported during the regular session.
The request was submitted to the Plenary as part of the established procedure for the exercise of office in public entities.
Ameliach, who is currently part of the Permanent Committee on Domestic Policy and represents the Parliament before the Council of State for the period 2025-2026, will assume responsibilities in the planning and coordination of strategic projects in the west of the country.
CORPOZULIA is an institution attached to the National Executive, responsible for promoting economic, social and territorial development in the states of Zulia, Falcón and Lara. Its work includes coordination with regional governments, organized communities and productive sectors, in areas such as infrastructure, agribusiness, energy and basic services.
Ameliach has a career in elected office, including her tenure as governor of Carabobo. In addition, he is in a situation of retirement from the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), which gives him experience in public management and strategic planning.
With this designation, progress is expected in the execution of projects aimed at strengthening the Zulian region, in line with the guidelines of the Homeland Plan and the territorial development policies promoted by the Bolivarian Government.
