FUNVISIS reports minor seismic events in Zulia, Yaracuy and La Guaira this September 11

Through its Instagram account, the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (Funvisis) reported seismic events recorded in three states of the country on Friday afternoon, September 11: Zulia, Yaracuy and La Guaira.

The first earthquake occurred northwest of Aroa, Yaracuy state, with a magnitude of 3.7 and a depth of 1.4 kilometers.

Two minutes later, at 5:20 p.m., another magnitude 3.3 event was detected, located 9 kilometers southwest of Naiguatá, La Guaira state, with an epicenter at coordinates 10,598 N - 66,814 W and a depth of 6.4 kilometers.

This report is part of the ongoing monitoring that Funvisis maintains throughout the country, after the double earthquake of June 24, which affected several states of the country.
