The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported that temporary camps were set up at the Ludovico Silva Mission Base, located at kilometer 11 of El Junquito, and in the Cultural House of that parish.

According to information published by the newspaper Úlmas Noticias, these spaces also function as collection centers, from which assistance to affected families is coordinated.

It was also known that the services offered include food, medical care, temporary housing and social support, with the purpose of providing comprehensive care to people affected by the earthquakes recorded last Wednesday, June 24.

Meléndez specified that at the Cultural House, affected people are initially registered and, once they enter the camp, they receive food, health care, bedrooms and the necessary supplies to ensure their well-being, while noting that this action is carried out in an articulated manner between the Mayor's Office of Caracas, public and private organizations, as well as with the support of the organized community and volunteers.
