The governor of the state of Mérida, Arnaldo Sanchez, highlighted that seven countries participated in the Duathlon Championship of the Americas Mérida 2026. “Mérida is the epicenter of sports not only nationally but also internationally,” he said.
Speaking to Venezolana de Televisión, he specified that more than 240 athletes from seven international teams are participating, including Mexico, Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil and Venezuela.
“A total of 191 athletes are participating in this Pan-American championship, which is also the beginning of the qualification for the world games,” he said.
