The governor of the state of La Guaira, José Alejandro Terán, supervised this Monday the comprehensive rehabilitation works of the John Paul II Diocesan Educational Unit (UED), located in the Urimare parish.

He stressed that the initial plan included the rehabilitation of 102 schools, but thanks to the articulated work, 17 more institutions were added, raising the goal to a total of 119 schools undergoing restoration throughout the coastal entity.

“This Educational Unit is one of the largest we are serving in the parish, but we are here with 27 workers, both masons, members of our Bolivarian Militia, and teachers of the People's Power,” said Terán.

He stressed that it is planned to finish the work one week before the start of the school year. “This school has to open its doors on September 14, that's the goal we have and that's how we're going to achieve it, because it's a commitment to work to completely repair it, to make it more beautiful than it was,” he said.
