Governor Terán: More than 230 schools in La Guaira opened their doors for the new school year

A total of 239 educational institutions in the state of La Guaira opened their doors to formally start the 2026-2027 school year, after an intense day of adaptation and maintenance of infrastructures, as reported by the governor of the entity, José Alejandro Terán.

During a broadcast on Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), Terán noted that the return to classrooms was achieved with 84.2% progress in the rehabilitation of the state's school infrastructure, an achievement that was achieved after five weeks of joint work between the school construction brigades and the educational community.

He also explained that 34 educational institutions, which suffered severe damage after the recent earthquakes, are undergoing rigorous technical soil studies to ensure their safe reconstruction.

“It is an extraordinary step forward that today, with 84.2% of the school infrastructure rehabilitated, children are being welcomed,” he said.

The regional president assured that the commitment and vocation of the teaching, administrative and labor staff, who return to classrooms to guarantee the future of Guaireña's youth.
