Guárico established itself as the epicenter of ecotourism with the III Valid Peacock Fishing Agency

The Rio Tiznados reservoir, popularly known as Rio Verde, located in the Ortiz municipality of the Guárico state, became the main stage of the III Valida Nacional de Sport Fishing de Pavón, an event aimed at environmental conservation, the promotion of ecotourism and the revitalization of the local economy.

The event, organized with the support of the Venezuelan Association of Pavón Fishermen (AVPP) and regional tourism authorities, brought together more than 32 teams from different states of the country, he reported on his Venezolana de Televisión portal.

The competition was developed under the premise of “Catch and Release”, an ecological fishing modality aimed at the conservation of species in reservoirs and the promotion of responsible sports.

During the conference, representatives of the AVPP and special guests highlighted the positive impact of the activity on the revitalization of the local economy, tourism and gastronomy in the Ortiz municipality.

They also reaffirmed their commitment to continue promoting activities that promote ecotourism and protect aquatic fauna in the basins of the Venezuelan territory.
