The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, celebrated this Friday the tenth anniversary of the creation of the Nevado Mission, one of the first major initiatives of the National President aimed at ensuring the protection and welfare of animals in a state of vulnerability.

“10 years ago, the Nevado Mission was born, my first social program for the People, a beautiful popular and revolutionary collective, inspired by the nobility and infinite capacity for love of our Commander Chávez, who every day rescues and protects animals at risk,” said the head of state through his X account.

The Nevado Mission was born on December 30, 2013, under the Official Gazette number 49,324, with decree 627, as a project aimed at the defense, preservation and protection of the rights of the most vulnerable in society, which are animals, and was later made official on January 12, 2014.
