When Doctor's Day was celebrated this Sunday, March 10, the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, praised the work of professionals who work daily to bring health to the people

“We celebrate National Physician's Day, a recognition of men and women health professionals who give everything in the noble mission of saving lives,” said the head of state through his account on the social network X.

On March 10, 1955, during the Extraordinary Assembly of the Venezuelan Medical Federation, the designation of this day was approved as a date to honor the country's doctors, taking as a reference the birth of Dr. José María Vargas, who was born on this day as today in 1786, in La Guaira, who stood out for his humanist vocation at the service of the people.
