With regard to commemorating this Thursday the 20th anniversary of Commander Hugo Chávez's historic anti-imperialist
declaration, the head of
state, Nicolás Maduro, reiterated that the Bolivarian
Revolution remains in force in this thinking.
Through his account on the social network X, he wrote: “The
anti-imperialist character of the Bolivarian Revolution remains in force in the
thinking and action of the men and women who defend the Homeland. 20
years after that day when Commander Chávez delivered that
memorable speech, we continue to raise our voices to say: Venezuela Is Respected!
”
During his speech, the Commander told former President of the United
States, George W. Bush, in the face of his attempted invasion, “There are
enough people here! And do you know anything else? There are quite a lot of balls here! To defend this
Homeland from any intruder who seeks to come and humiliate the dignity of this sacred
land!”
To commemorate this date, the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) convened a Grand Caravan, which will depart from the states of Trujillo, Táchira, Zulia, Delta Amacuro, Amazona and others, and will be received by President Nicolás Maduro at the Botanical Garden.
