The President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, asserted that those who are desperate to achieve power actually come from meanness, because in truth, their objective is to wrest power from the People of Venezuela.
“I have seen those who are desperate for power, but it is because of the meanness, of taking power away from the people of Venezuela,” he emphasized in Guacara, in the state of Carabobo, during a mass meeting with the people, in the Comuna Las Guerreras de Tacarigua, the most voted in the recent second National Popular Consultation 2026.
In that sense, he said that “that's why I wanted to come here to the most voted Commune, because it's not about a person in Miraflores, it's about the Venezuelan people who, organized, define their destiny.”
The head of state said that “this year 2026 has been a painful year, but also a year that has brought us great experiences and has given us more strength as a people, to say that the union of Venezuelan women and Venezuelans stands out in the toughest and most difficult times.”
“We have had and have risen up with more strength, morals and dignity, but above all with the strength of love and with God's blessing,” he said.
The president also read Simon Bolivar's letter to the Grand Marshal of Ayacucho, General Antonio José de Sucre: “It doesn't scare me. We're used to seeing more horrible ghosts up close, which have disappeared when we got close to them.”
