Head of State: We won a gigantic victory at the UN against US aggressions

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, during the Con Maduro+ program, described as a success for the country in its battle against imperialist aggressions, the support of hundreds of nations for Venezuela, in the framework of the 80th anniversary of the United Nations (UN).

“We had a gigantic victory at the UN, I can't remember a year where we had so much support, I was chancellor and I know those things I can tell you that it was a resounding success,” said the Head of State during the Presidential Week segment.

In this regard, he highlighted that at the UN hundreds of nations spoke out in favor of Venezuela because it was subject to the military and diplomatic sieges of the Northern Empire, and that other countries that are not supporters of the United States did not follow the script of aggressions dictated by President Donald Trump.

“I think that the entire delegation fulfilled an extraordinary agenda, receiving the support of the different groups, the Bolivarian Alliance, Alba, CELAC. The Movement of Non-Aligned Countries (MNOAL), which brings together 120 countries, met and released a powerful communiqué, and part of the UN meeting cannot be seen as support, and the speeches of Cuba, Russia, Iran, China and the Caribbean,” said the president.

He reiterated the importance of civic-military-police union for the country's sovereignty, since Venezuela does not threaten anyone, but this “perfect fusion” has made it possible to dismantle groups generated by violence.
