On March 11, 2009, Commander Hugo Chávez inaugurated the Cacique Tiuna urban development, located in La Rinconada, Caracas.
“So in this commune, on this land that used to belong to the Racecourse and now belongs to the town, in these buildings and beyond, in these wonderful woods, they are buildings, they are 72-square-meter apartments, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, very nice, very fresh,” said Chávez.
In this regard, he clarified that there is no discord with private property.
“Remember that there are two types of property, private and social. We don't condemn private property, no, so much so, that we are handing over today, well, the titles of award in private property of these apartments are yours, private property,” he said.
Commander Chávez once again reiterated his commitment to the Venezuelan people.
“Everything I have left of my life will be consumed at the service of the weakest, the humblest, the most needy, the people of Venezuela. What rich people think, and their hate don't matter to me, I don't care about anything, I care about these children, I care about these women, this family, this family, that they have life, that they have happiness,” he emphasized.
