The Venezuelan Socialist Telecommunications Company (VTELCA) celebrates 14 years of work dedicated to the innovation of new technologies for the service of the Venezuelan people.

The company began operations on February 18, 2009 after its installation in the Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón state.

During the administration of Commander Hugo Chávez, a process of technological invention began in the country in different social areas to provide a better service of care to the Venezuelan people. In addition to boosting economic development with the Bilateral Cooperation and Technology Transfer Agreement signed with China in 2000.

Within the framework of the technological agreement, Chávez began, by presidential decree of 2008, the constitution of VTELCA, a telecommunications company, with the mission of creating new high-quality technologies for the reach of the Venezuelan people.

Under the revolutionary approach, VTELCA presented the first telephone created and assembled in the country, the Vergatario 1, with a distribution of 708 thousand copies for 2016, in the same way the Vergatario 2 was conceived, which had a reproduction of 981,522 pieces.

In addition to the creation of the Gran Vergatario cell phone, Telepatria, Victoria, Caribe in its different versions. They have also designed a cell phone for people with disabilities called, Amigo model s202.
