In Amazonas, FANB destroyed five light aircraft and an illegal airstrip used by criminal groups

The Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), through air patrolling in the state of Amazonas, specifically in the Alto Orinoco municipality, detected and destroyed an airfield used by criminal organizations, reported the strategic operational commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez.

Through a message published in his X account, he explained that in this operation, the uniformed personnel destroyed a clandestine runway; 5 small planes; a helicopter; 7,000 liters of AVGAS-type fuel and materials for the maintenance and repair of aircraft.

In the same way, in this action framed in Operation Mist 2025, 5 structures were destroyed that functioned as a warehouse and housing for the employees of this illegal activity.

“The Bolivarian National Armed Forces, acting as an environmental defense body to guarantee a healthy, safe and ecologically balanced environment, in accordance with its attribution conferred in article 21 of the Organic Law of the Environment and article 127 of the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, will continue to be permanently deployed as a guarantor of ecological balance, biological diversity, genetic resources, national parks and natural monuments and other areas of our special administration regime country,” Hernández Lárez emphasized.
