Internal Policy Committee approves report to speed up administrative procedures

The Standing Committee on Internal Policy of the National Assembly (AN) approved the report for the second discussion of the Organic Bill for the Acceleration and Optimization of Administrative Procedures and Procedures.

The legal text seeks the transformation of state functioning through the abolition of regulations that slow down public management, according to a press release from the AN.

Deputy María Gabriela Vega, first vice-president of the parliamentary body, reported that the approval of the document follows a process of national public consultation.

The bill, which consists of 13 articles, constitutes an initiative of the National Executive aimed at eliminating bureaucratic obstacles and modernizing services aimed at citizens.

During the regular session, Vega noted that there is a consensus on the need to eradicate practices that delay management results. The legislator stressed that the regulations will serve as a tool to increase the effectiveness of State institutions.

After the approval of the commission, the report will be sent to the Secretariat of the National Assembly. It is now up to the Plenary to include the item on the agenda for its second discussion and subsequent final sanction, after which the text will be sent to the Presidency of the Republic for enactment and publication in the Official Gazette.
