International Day for Combating Child Abuse: Everyone's Responsibility

Every April 25, the International Day for Combating Child Abuse is commemorated, in order to make communities aware of the respect for the physical and mental integrity of children.

In the world there are different organizations that constantly carry out campaigns against this scourge, such as the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), and these activities are also joined by government bodies from many countries. In Venezuela, there is the General Directorate for Crime Prevention and Coordination (DPD), the Organic Law for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (LOPNNA), which aims to guarantee to all children and adolescents, who are in the national territory, the exercise and full and effective enjoyment of their rights and guarantees, through the comprehensive protection that the State, society and the family must provide them from the moment of their conception.
