International solidarity continues: Egypt sent five tons of medicines to Venezuela

At the “Arturo Michelena” International Airport, located in Valencia, Carabobo state, a significant humanitarian cargo of five tons of medicines sent by the Arab Republic of Egypt was received this Monday to strengthen the capacity of the Venezuelan National Public Health System, following the contingency generated by the double earthquake that occurred last June 24.
FlightEl, coming from Panama City, arrived with a shipment of analgesics, anti-inflammatory drugs, antipyretics, antibiotics, antivirals, cardiovascular treatment, digestive, antispasmodic, respiratory, parasitology, nervous system and mental health.
The supplies were delivered by the Egyptian ambassador, Kareem Amin, and received by the director general of the Office of the Deputy Minister for Africa of the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry, Marlon Peña , and the Single Health Authority of Carabobo, Alexander Leal.
Las Venezuelan authorities thanked the help and reiterated their interest in strengthening relations with Cairo. These drugs will be distributed to health centers, field hospitals, and temporary camps, prioritizing the areas most affected by the double earthquake.
El sending these supplies from Egypt to Venezuela constitutes a gesture of solidarity in the face of a critical situation and is also a tangible example of diplomatic dialogue focused on humanitarian objectives.
