Delivery companies must comply with new permits and technical revisions to keep their operations in place in Venezuelan territory.
Operators must be registered in the National Register of the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT) and have a driving school supervised by that body, the Ministry for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace reported in a press release replicated by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN).
The permits also establish the presentation of a certificate of fitness for commercial driving, in addition to keeping civil and medical liability insurance in force for passengers.
In addition, the units will be periodically evaluated by experts authorized by the INTT, a requirement linked to the annual renewal of operating permits.
On the other hand, digital platforms that connect drivers with their own or rented vehicles to provide parcel services must be authorized by the Ministry of Transport, in accordance with article 133 of the Land Transport Act.
