Jorge Rodríguez: 4,099 international brigade members remain in the country helping in disaster areas

A total of 4,099 international brigade members are in the areas affected by the earthquakes of last June 24, collaborating with the search for living people under the rubble and transferring families who lost their homes to temporary camps, said the president of the National Assembly (AN), J orge Rodríguez.
During the daily balance sheet presented by the National Government on the catastrophe situation, Rodríguez pointed out that 153 search dogs belonging to these international brigades are deployed in the country.
He also indicated that 49 support vehicles are available for the care of victims and the transfer of personnel.
On the other hand, the parliament indicated that, to date, a total of 17,026 patients have been treated in hospitals and triage areas. “There were 4,565 hospitalized. At this moment we can count 13,942 sisters and brothers who have been discharged, totally out of danger,” he emphasized.
