Jorge Rodríguez: Construction began on 1,875 homes for families affected by double earthquakes

The president of the General Staff for Transitional Camps, Jorge Rodríguez, reported that construction began on 1,875 decent homes for families who lost their homes during the tragedy of June 24.

The announcement was made on his Telegram channel after a technical inspection of land previously evaluated by teams of geologists, engineers and architects.

Rodríguez explained that the selected spaces have complete geophysical studies that certify their safety for the construction of new homes. He pointed out that these are terraces located in safe areas of Catamare, in the state of La Guaira, where five areas have already been verified and three of them are ready to begin works.

“These are lands studied by our geologists, engineers and architects. All geophysical studies were carried out to ensure their safety and today, by order of President Rodríguez, we have begun the construction of 1,875 decent homes, at the fastest possible pace, to return their homes to those who lost it in the tragedy of June 24,” he said.

The President of the General Staff stressed that the objective is to advance with speed and technical precision to ensure that new homes meet established standards and allow the progressive transfer of affected families.
