Jorge Rodríguez: The goal is to relocate families who are in educational institutions before the start of the school year

The highest authority of the Presidential Commission for the Creation of Transitional Camps, Jorge Rodríguez, assured that the goal of the Bolivarian Government is to relocate families that are currently in educational institutions before the start of the school year.

“We hope that very close to the start of the school year, we will be able to bring residents of temporary camps from schools, from public schools.”

Accompanied by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, he oversaw the construction of 1,000 homes in Ciudad Caribia, to benefit more than 4,000 people.

From the site, he pointed out that “these beautiful terraces, which Hugo Chávez imagined as the city of the future of Venezuela, have helped us to test a very new form of care for people who are in temporary camps.”

He also highlighted the intention of the National Government to provide human spaces for families and “that are not a warehouse for people, but that they have enough urban planning to have leisure, commercial and sports activities that are neighborhood; therefore , the characteristics of these spaces are single-family”.

With regard to the distribution of the houses, he explained that they have two bedrooms, living room, bathroom, kitchen and have all the services from a health point of view.

“People are going to be able to be quite comfortable for as long as necessary while we're building the houses.” In addition, he added that in La Guaira “so far we have the capacity to build 5,000 homes.”
