Jorge Rodríguez: There have been 1,203 aftershocks of earthquakes since the double of 24J

The president of the General Staff of Transitional Camps, Jorge Rodríguez, announced that until the last 40 minutes of this Saturday, there are 1,203 aftershocks of earthquakes, from the afternoon of June 24 to this time.

During a press conference, he explained that there are currently 94 total camps allocated, of which 40 are in Caracas, 28 in La Guaira and 26 in Miranda.

He also asserted that the camps have a capacity of up to 24,129 people. “They receive decent housing there. We have used the classrooms of the schools, which were equipped and built showers in each of the equipped camps, equipped kitchens and dining rooms,” he said.

“Each classroom has decent beds, where an entire family or two families can be accommodated. In addition, there is a group of medical specialists from the medical school of the Central University of Venezuela (UCV) who have been collaborating with case care,” he added.
