This Friday, the Deputy Minister for Risk Management and Civil Protection, Almte. In turn, he explained that this initiative combines the Venezuelan Red Cross technique with the operational capacity of Firefighters and Civil Protection with the objective of allowing children and adolescents to identify what and what are the risks of natural or anthropogenic origin. “If we can help our children and adolescents identify the risk, we are already gaining that culture of prevention,” he said. Regarding the immediate response, he highlighted the creation of the Community Risk Management Brigades. Which use tools such as vulnerability maps and handmade rain gauges to monitor the increase in rainfall and flow. “The first responder to an event is the community. For this reason, we combine the 'flavor' of the inhabitants' historical experience with the academic 'knowledge' of universities,” he said. Finally, Deputy Minister Juan Carlos Oti Paituv i reiterated that the SNRG remains deployed and alert throughout the national territory and that in the event of any emergency, citizens must communicate through the single line Ven 9-1-1, a platform that channels the news immediately with the competent bodies to ensure an effective response.
