Julio Mayora imposes his hierarchy and is crowned South American champion in the 75 kg in Santa Fe

The Venezuelan weightlifter Julio Mayora signed a masterful performance on the stage after lifting an Olympic total of 332 kilograms, to win the medal with a gold medal in the 75 kilograms of weightlifting, at the XIII South American Games Santa Fe 2026.

Mayora exhibited absolute dominance over the competing platform, outperforming her rivals with impeccable performance from start to finish. In the starting mode, the Venezuelan lifted a total of 145 kg, and then consolidated his victory in the envión with a lift of 187 kg.

With these marks, the Venezuelan weightlifter recorded an Olympic total of 332 kilograms, a figure with which he won the gold medal and reaffirmed the power of the discipline for the country in the continental event.

The silver medal went to the Ecuadorian Jaie Reyes, who fought a tough battle after completing 144 kg in the start and 183 kg in the engine, reaching a total of 327 kilograms.

For his part, the podium was completed by the Chilean Sergio Cares, winning the bronze medal with a cumulative score of 297 kilograms (137 kg at the start and 160 kg at the start).
