Kevin Kelsy made his first goal scorer in the Scottish classic and helps Rangers advance to the semifinals

Venezuelan striker Kevin Kelsy starred in a dream day with the Rangers FC jersey as the big figure in the 3-0 win against Celtic FC at the Old Firm, after scoring a goal and providing an assist in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup.

The Venezuelan striker played 87 minutes recording his first goal for the Glasgow team and distributing a key assist to guide his team's qualification to the next round of the cup tournament.

Kelsy started as a starter and after 23 minutes, he enabled her for captain Dan Neil to open the scoring at Ibrox Stadium. Later, in the 59th minute, the Venezuelan battering ram, after catching a set ball, sent it to the back of the net.

The Venezuelan came to the ranks of Rangers FC this same month of September 2026 from the Portland Timbers of the MLS (United States), a club in which he excelled by scoring 16 goals.

Now the Venezuelan club will face Aberdeen in the semifinals, which will be played on a date to be confirmed between October 31 and November 1.
